Halfway House beer festival

 Annual knees-up already in full-swing.

This year's beer festival  is underway (Sunday) at the Halfway House. The staff are already getting into the spirit of things and one of the barmaids, pictured above half an hour ago, has been been asked by the management to "take a few hours off". The pub between Somerton and the centre of the universe has 18 different real ales in kegs in its back room plus the usual selection of beers and other beverages at the bar. There's also music and food.
For visitors who haven't been at the Halfway since last year's event, don't be alarmed by the sight of a microwave on the 19th century pub's chimney. No explanation - just don't be alarmed.
