Lights out at Eli's

"Put another 50p in the meter Maureen"

The Rose and Crown has become the first pub in Britain to predict its own power cut tonight. The lights go out at 9 o'clock, candles will be for sale from 8 o'clock in the top room.

"It shouldn't make much difference" said one local, "I haven't been able to see anything in the men's toilets since 1983."

SWEB says it's "impressed" with the Rose and Crown's ability to predict its outage and says one of its helicopters will be watching events closely this evening.
