...as Glastonbury Festival opens its gates...
There's been chaos at Wagg Drove tube station today as Huish Episcopi's main hippy colony makes a mass exodus towards Worthy Farm at Pilton. Festival organiser Michael Eavis opens the main gates this evening and several Wagg residents are at the front of the queue.
"We've been coming here for years" said one Wagg woman, "it's the only time we get a decent shower"
"My wife and I usually use the toilets at Eli's" said a Wagg man, "but once a year we take the tube to Pilton and treat ourselves to a good session on the long drop"
"It's my busiest time of the year" quacked another man.
"MIND THE MUD"
London Underground says there may be severe delays on the Piccadily Line extension over the next few days - especially at Wagg Drove, Pibsbury Corner and Leicester Square stations.
A spokesman for the RSPCH (the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Hitchhikers) told Carry On Langport that its readers should think twice before picking anybody up who's trying to get to the festival.
"Remember...a hippy's for life...not just for the summer" she said.
Please party responsibly and mind the gap...Carry On Langport welcomes any festival pictures from its readers, send them in via the blog's Facebook page.
