Langport Clock stopped yesterday evening during an episode of Coronation Street. The Town Council says it's nothing to do with the ITV soap...that's just when it happened.
"Yes...it's a mystery" said local councillor Ian McNab outside the Post Office today as he re-applied for his sailor's licence, "it happened sometime last night but we're not sure exactly when"
