Carry On Langport's recent story 'Here we go again' has sparked a fair bit of public interest online, with e-mails and Facebook messages flying to and fro between supporters and opponents.
As of this evening (Weds), the post had clocked up 577 views.
It surrounds an application for 94 new homes on the field opposite the Kelways Inn known as 'The Trial Ground' (below) and will involve ripping out the towering beech hedge which stretches from one end of the land to the other.
The district council deadline for public comments is the end of tomorrow (Thurs) but it's probably well worth e-mailing a few other individuals - even after that time.
It's the district council which will decide on whether the housing can go ahead so getting in touch with your local district councillor makes sense.

The plot is within the boundaries of Huish Episcopi, so e-mailing the parish's clerk Jane Redfearn is worth a go...she can pass on comments to parish councillors and the district.

As somebody pointed out in a Facebook message yesterday, having a good moan about things online is all very well - but it's lodging your comments/objections/observations with the decision-makers that counts.

High street retailer Anne Summers has admitted it's "considering" taking up the lease on the Hanging Chapel.
"We know the property well" said a spokeswoman, "we've been delivering there for years"
