Eli's is getting a card machine.
The days of turning up at the Rose and Crown Inn, ordering your drinks and then having to jump back in the car down to Langport to a cashpoint are finally coming to an end.
There are increasing rumours from a number of sources that the Huish Episcopi pub is finally installing a card machine.
One member of the village's 'First Family' confirmed the rumours as we went to print.
"But your reporting isn't entirely accurate" said Steve Pittard, "my sisters's had it upstairs under her bed in a box for 6 months without a plug on" he explained.
Either way, Carry On Langport readers will certainly approve of the move.
