Latest iPhone spotted in Langport.
Apple unveiled its new 'light weight' smartphone in Langport this afternoon.
The machine, which hasn't been switched on yet and was still being charged at 6 o'clock this evening, has been installed on the side of the public toilet block in the town centre.
Ok enough nonsense.
This, dear readers, is the town's new electronic information board.
Paid for by South Somerset District Council, it'll be run by the Langport Information Centre which is based inside the library.
The machine is expected to be switched on "in the coming days" which in Langport speak means November.
One business owner welcomed the arrival of the information board.
"Me and my mates have already started a sweepstake on how soon it'll be blown off the wall" he said.
Another local was also enthusiastic:
"Will I be able to get PornHub on it?" she asked.
We showed the new screen to local band Twisted Vinyl this afternoon for their reaction:
But they had absolutely no idea what they were looking at.
"We'd rather use your blog to advertise" they told us, "tell everyone we're playing at the Halfway House at Pitney this Saturday evening would ya?"
Consider it done boys.
