Langport's waited 30 years for traffic calming...

...and then two one-way systems come at once.

Two Langport stores have strengthened their customer movement restrictions this weekend.

Tesco has introduced a hurdle system [pictured top] with ushers moving shoppers on from section to section if they take too long.

One woman who tried to get her Naan bread first and then go back to pick up sausage rolls was given a police caution.

The One Stop system - nicknamed 'Scalextric' by local pensioners who've been spotted timing each other to see how quickly they can get round it - is also causing problems with snarl-ups and bottle necks at the magazine rack and slush-puppy dispensers.

But it's all in a good cause folks.

- and if you think you've got it bad....think of the poor buggers at Moor Close and the Avenue stuck at home while Network Rail workers bang the hell out of the railway embankment:

Not the only thing they've been banging apparently.

 What a carry on, eh.

Chin up folks, it won't last forever.
