"Open Sesame!"
The move has been widely welcomed especially by the One Stop convenience store where takings are already creeping back up.
"We think Portland Road and Courtfield drinkers have been parking the car at the bottom of St Mary's Park and running across the rec' to Tesco to get their wine since the spring" said a spokeswoman, "but now they can drive their traditional route through the chapel, scrape the pillars outside the Langport Arms and come down to us again"
