Three posts from social media for you today folks.
The first one's all fun fun fun and the second two are local politics meetings. But before you start yawning and scroll away, do make a note of the dates and think about going along. The two public meetings are worth a look if you care about Langport and Huish and who spends our public money and on what [or not!]....
The fun first then and it's all happening in Langport town centre tomorrow and Saturday:
Let's hope we can all stay awake.
'Late night shopping' til 6pm? Shocking.
and here's the local politics. To find out how [allegedly] buggered the charity is which runs and valiantly tries to fund the Town hall, Ridgway Hall, Hanging Chapel and Town Garden...you are invited to sit in on this meeting:
Then just over a week later a public meeting, with members of both Langport town and Huish Episcopi parish councils present, to discuss any number of local issues including - wait for it! Yes it's back on the agenda folks after what must be a 15 even 20 year-long break - the 'merger'!
Definitely worth attending this one, if not just for the entertainment.
Before we finish...well done to the councillors who helped, the volunteers and the landlord and customers of the Black Swan who all turned out to put up Bow Street, Cheapside and North Street's Christmas lights last weekend. Looking great!
