WINDY MILLER ARRESTED

Langport Rumour Mill 'out of control'

Windy Miller was arrested at his home in High Ham yesterday following allegations his equipment has been spinning far too fast in recent weeks.

The 55 year-old's being held at a local police station [Wincanton] where he's already faced hours of questioning regarding the nearby town of Langport.

"It's normal for gossip and hearsay to go around a small community but in Langport in recent weeks it's been absolutely rampant" said a spokesman for Mr Miller's legal team - Sue, Grabbit & Runne.

Mr Miller's been released on bail but just before his mill was raided yesterday, he managed to fax us a few more tit bits.

Well done Windy, let's take a look:

At the Bishop's Palace in Wells the Bishop has had all his windows doubleglazed, a jacuzzi added for the choir, an underground cinema built and a branch of Anne Summers set up on the drawbridge.

Nothing to do of course with the recent sale of the enormous Huish Episcopi vicarage and the recent sale of The Angel on Bow Street [which was bought after the sale of the church hall opposite St Mary's]

And so here we are in the mid 2020s with no vicarage and no church hall in Huish Episcopi and nothing to show for it in Langport.

Anyone know where all the money goes?

Following the 'armchair-gate' story at the Langport Arms last week [scroll down to the post under this one to find out more] there've been yet more reports of local fly tipping in the last 48 hours.

Somerset Council says it's now had 3 more calls from good samaritans trying to keep our town clean.

They concerned a fruit & veg display outside Black Sheep Butchers, petrol pumps on the forecourt at Shires Garage and 78 homes on Bow Street who'd put their recycling boxes outside their own front doors.

😂

And finally

Figures out today show that over 90 local people have applied for work at local employer ABP this month.

"It's the only way you can get somewhere to rent round here these days" said 4 men sleeping in a doorway outside an old pub on North Street.

There are no further details.

😟

That's it for today, a big thank you to Windy and his mill up High Ham for all those stories.

Enjoy your Sunday folks and have a good week!
