Beard trimmer horror

Power surge at Mary Coombes

A freak accident at a local health & beauty salon has left two Huish Church choirboys injured and a member of staff from Rumours Tapas Bar in hospital. Unconfirmed reports suggest the 3 were 'messing around' with a mains-powered beard trimmer in the waiting room at Mary Coombes today when a power surge went through Huish Episcopi. It happened at around 1pm reportedly sending the beard trimmer "into a frenzy". The choirboys had their cassocks ripped off while The Tapas bar waiter was rushed to A&E in Yeovil suffering from what paramedics said was a "badly burnt chorizo'"
Southern Electric later said the power surge originated at nearby St Mary's Church where Huish Vicar Jess Pitman was using an old kettle element to try to lance a church warden's boil over the font in her lunch break.

Huish Vicar yesterday, after hearing what had happened.
