Staff orgy claims denied
Management at Tesco have angrily denied claims that weekly orgies, once held elsewhere in Langport, are now staged at the store in the staff canteen on Sunday evenings. Rumours hit feverpitch last Sunday night when the Travis Perkins security man heard laughter and music coming from upstairs inside the back of the building. Then on Monday, as well as several check-out staff having hangovers, at least 15 cucumbers were missing from the salad display.
In a statement, Langport Tesco said the Sunday events were simply "staff training" but had no explanation for the missing cucumbers.
Langport's town clerk, pictured, says the missing cucumbers are nothing to do with the town council, which is apparently too busy trying to shaft the Ridgway Hall.
