Inbreeding forecast issued.
The Home Office has released its end-of-month inbreeding rate forecasts for Langport and the surrounding towns and villages. The predictions for spring 2015 are:
Othery - suspect - getting worse
Aller - moderate - no change
Drayton - rare - no telltale signs yet
Westonzoyland - good - getting better
Langport - poor - improving later
Huish Episcopi - moderate - needs attention
Chard - rampant - soaring rapidly
Bridgwater - off the scale - no figures available
The Jack Daniels distillery says it's decided to pull out of Somerset altogether. It says its campaign to stamp out inbreeding in the county, as featured in the above billboard near Middlezoy, has had no effect whatsoever.
