Turn Hill woods shock

Somerton man photographs 1970s family at nature reserve.

A man out walking at Turn Hill Woods nature reserve at High Ham has photographed this rare 1970s family.
The 6 people stared at him briefly before dashing back into the undergrowth. But professional photographer James Burtle managed to get this single shot of them before they did so.
"At least 2 of them were wearing authentic 70s tanktops and they had clearly never seen a mobile phone before which I was using to frantically try to get hold of David Attenborough" said Mr Burtle. Since having his close encounter, the 50 year-old photographer has been offered thousands of pounds by newspapers to the rights to print the picture but Carry On Langport made him a deal he couldn't refuse.
Anyone who sees the family again is warned not to approach them or mention who shot JR in Dallas which they won't know yet. But photography enthusiasts have been flocking to the scene hoping they can lure the 1970s family out again with Boney M music or space hoppers and pogo sticks.

Mr Burtle, above, made his fortune 10 years ago when he photographed this 1960s woman on Cocklemoor.

But he lost his fortune 5 years later when he claimed this image was taken at The Battle of Langport.
