Real ale and cider drinkers ordered to do more exercise

After several health scares, local real ale and cider drinkers will be following doctor's orders this weekend with an inter-pub football match at Somerton. Locals from the Halfway House at Pitney and the Cross Keys at East Lydford go head-to-head at the pitch at Somerton Playing Fields (pictured above) on Sunday at 10am. It's expected Somerton Town football players will be 'looking on in envy' as the Halfway and Crosskeys locals actually score goals.
The after-match get-together will be held at the Halfway House.
We asked a spokesman if it was a charity game.
"No." he said.
What a refreshingly straight answer, that man should be a politician.
