Window cleaners stand for Langport constituency
The
above photograph is of a full-page advert from this month's Levelling
Langport magazine. It features politicians campaigning to become MPs for
the Langport area in the general election next month. It includes - as
one would expect - candidates from all the main parties.
However,
we were fascinated to see that two Langport-based window cleaners are
also standing. A fact not covered in this week's edition of the Western
Gazette and we also failed to report it.
The
Davis brothers, who are in fact Langport's award-winning double glazing
experts, have confirmed in the last hour that the election advert is
correct. Here they are with their public relations manager at their
manifesto launch yesterday.
