Weekend sport results






Victory for Halfway House.

In the Wurzel league, there was an 8-3 football victory for the Halfway House on Sunday against The Cross Keys. The match took place at Somerton Playing Fields.
The after-match celebrations were held back at The Halfway House.
In other sports news, Eastover won the fighting at The White Lion yesterday afternoon beating St Mary's Park in the second round. In the weekend Monopoly League, Langport Town Council caused controversy when it landed on the Ridgeway Hall before even shaking the dice. The move was met with fierce local opposition.
- and in The County Strip Poker division, Tesco staff lost by a knobbly knee to Langport Freemasons in the Masons' last home match of the season at The Hanging Chapel.


The landlord of the Halfway House, pictured celebrating the result yesterday, said he was "delighted" with his team's victory.
