...hangovers all round as solar farm opponents win their fight...
This was the scene in downtown Aller earlier this week as local residents who were against a solar farm application on the nearby moor won their long fight against the project. On Wednesday evening, a district council committee voted unanimously against the application.
"We told them to stick their solar panels where the sun don't shine!" said a local bishop as the Mayoress poured herself, him and another bishop a round of tequila slammers.
Even local livestock partied the night
away to celebrate the result. This horse was found making owl noises in a
tree near Seven Bends at 4am yesterday morning.
But not everyone was impressed by the rowdy village celebrations...
The landlord and landlady of The Old Pound - above - said they were kept up all night and ended up skinny dipping in The Dragon Pool across the road from their pub...just to get away from the noise.
