VIEWS SO FAR:

Carry On Langport's Archives

Saturday 30 January 2016

Nothing to see here...

All quiet on the home front.

If Carry On Langport were a newspaper, it could well have a blank front page this morning. Not a lot's happening, or at least not a lot's 'been drawn to our attention'.

Tumble weed has been seen blowing down Bow Street again this week and at Tesco nobody's slipped over on a grape for days. For the first time since last summer, there are no piles of sick on the pavements between Eli's and Kelways.

Even local railway station platforms have been abandoned and Langport Surgery says not a single patient's dropped a sample in the waiting room aquarium this week.

Meanwhile in Huish, a blackbird sitting in a hedge at Courtfield died of boredom last night.

But it's only Saturday and we all know the old place will come up with the goods before long. Send in any pics and stories via the Facebook posts and watch this space.

Until then, I'm off to Yeovil to remind myself how glad I am I live round here - and try to get myself a flatscreen TV...unless anyone knows of a second hand one?
