...as hundreds sign its petition for new public transport links at Langport and Somerton...
The award-winning Western Gazette can hardly contain itself this week as its front page announces that 800 people have now signed the petition for a rocket launch site somewhere between Langport and Somerton.
The campaign to send several Gazette staff and their readers into space has gone on for over a year with anybody from window cleaners to dinner ladies appearing in its pages in recent months to 'show their support.'
In Western Gazette land we're apparently 'all on board' and think about nothing else.
In next week's edition, read all about the latest petition - the plan to fire cows over to the Sedgemoor Auction Centre by giant catapult from Aller Hill to keep the roads clear of cattle lorries.
These pigs, who landed their own rocket in Pibsbury last night, say they're impressed by the catapult-a-cow plan and will appear in the Gazette next week to promote the petition and 'show their support'.
