An Apology

...from the Editor...

The Editor of Carry On Langport has apologised to customers at The Kelways Inn for attempting to sing Karaoke at the pub on Thursday night.  The 36 year-old tried to get through Elkie Brooks' 1977 Top 40 hit Pearl's a Singer as customers stampeded towards the emergency exits.

"It was mayhem" said a local Tesco worker yesterday, as she picked up another 8 'bags for life' blowing across the moor behind the supermarket, "he changed key more times than Bibic's electricity meter."

"I am sorry for any offence or injury I may have caused" said the Langport Blogger, as he sacked his singing teacher - a dying cat at Heaven's Gate animal sanctuary.

However, the Karaoke night wasn't all gloom and doom. The pub's Sous-Chef, pictured above, belted out a song in the right key and got herself a standing ovation for her rendition of Let's Be Having You!

There's no footage of her Kelways performance but to see her singing the same number at a recent football match at Langport Rec, click on the link below:

That's it for now, more news as it comes in.
