EU Referendum...

Made up your mind yet?

As the government extends the voting registration deadline by 48 hours, many Langporters and Huishers still haven't made their minds up whether Britain should remain in or leave the Eurovision Song Contest.

"It could have a massive effect on what we put on our jukebox" said the new landlord of the soon-to-open Black Swan, as he crossed the road to Sweeney Todd's where he counted the bodies at his sister-in-law's business.

Staff at Huish Pool couldn't decide either...

While down at Langport Town Councillor Ian McNab's workshop in Wick, he wondered how he should cast his vote...

...and several locals are wondering how the manageress at The Grange will vote...

...Mary Coombes 'Holiday Cottages' manager & snuff supplier at Huish can't come to a decision either...

"I couldn't possibly comment on how I'll be voting" said Huish Episcopi Parish Council Leader Dame Shirley Nicholas...as she draped a 'Langporters go home' banner across the checkpoint at The Hanging Chapel.

But other celebrities haven't been afraid to air their political views. "We've been trying to get into Eurovision for years" said Steve Pengelly, the lead singer of local band The Nurofens, "I am definitely in"

"What's a referendum?" said Langport boyband Fast Decline's lead singer as he handed his colouring book into the primary school on North Street, "are they free?"
