...Langport sorting office "may relocate" to Kelways...
Royal Mail has admitted it's considering relocating Langport sorting office to Kelways after it emerged most of its staff now take their morning breaks there.
"Marvellous idea" said one of the barmen, "I can think of several customers who need sorting"
These posties, pictured above just after delivering another crate of kippers to the Freemasons Lodge at the end of their busy round on Saturday, said they supported the idea. There could be a vote on the move next week.
But Royal Mail's denying that it'll lead to 'drunken deliveries' amid accusations some of its staff are already half cut and walking round in circles when they do their rounds.
"Nonsense" said a spokesman, "...that's just the bloke who delivers at Garden City....he always goes round twice before he can get out."
But the same spokesman admitted one Langport postie does sometimes "have a bit of trouble" parking at Black Bridge.
