...as landlady warns players to "take more care of her alley"
The Rose and Crown Skittle team are at home tonight (Thurs) amid warnings from the Huish pub's managment that they need to treat their home skittle alley "with more respect".
This (pictured above) was how the local players left the Grade II listed building after their last home game a few weeks ago.
"Rubbish" said one team member who didn't want to be named (Tim Stradling), "we rubbed our names off the blackboard before we left!"
But the local skittlers did admit that on the same night...they did spend a few minutes "singing around the piano"
"What's the problem? We left it as we found it" said player Steve Tilley, who also refused to be named.
Tonight's game is against The Crown Inn team at Fivehead, known locally - and in parts of Amsterdam - as 'Wears Yur Shirt dunnit'
