How's your liver?
Congratulations to all those readers who got through 'Dry January'
As February kicks in, pub landlords across the Langport area are bracing themselves as locals hit the sauce again: crash mats have been put out again at the Black Swan, The Langport Arms, the club and Eli's. (Kelways never brought theirs in)
On the footpath behind Tesco, this 'get-yourself-home' sign for local walkers has been unveiled to mark the occasion...
- and Huish Episcopi Parish Council's also celebrating...it's reintroduced plastic pint glasses at its meetings.
Already this evening there are reports of brawls in the alcohol aisle at a well-known supermarket where Everyday Value Gin and Tonic sold out this morning....around the time the Vicar's Nissan Micra was seen skidding out of the carpark.
Happy February everyone.
Next week on Carry On Langport: 'Hangover Cures' including a walk around Huish Abbatoir before breakfast.
