Langport bugging scandal

In the latest batch of top secret documents published by the Wikileaks website, it's being claimed that both MI5 and the CIA have developed technology to turn our smart phones and flat screen TVs into listening devices.

It's in the international news today - but in a bizarre turn of events - in the last hour we've heard that GCHQ in Wiltshire has also been using the technology to listen in on conversations along Bow Street at Langport.

"It probably explains why the bloody thing looks in such a sorry state and why the local council spends public money on everything else bar the obvious" said an insider, "because nobody's allowed to touch it"

The news has triggered emergency talks in Huish Episcopi amid claims there may also be a secret microphone somewhere in the village recording 'sensitive' conversations.
