VIEWS SO FAR:

Carry On Langport's Archives

Thursday 13 July 2017

Thursday bulletin...

...and just before we head into the weekend, a few late items of news...

  • Langport Town Hall was sealed off earlier today when police chased an escaped lunatic through the building's front door...a spokesman later said it was like looking for a needle in a haystack.
  • A cement mixer going through Aller collided with a prison van coming the other way from Bridgwater last night. The occupants of the van escaped and police are urging the public to be on the look out for 16 hardened criminals.

  • We're getting reports a leading dairy farmer from Drayton has been invited to join Langport Freemasons...he's apparently already been seen at the Crown giving people the secret milkshake.
  • There's still no sign of the toilet which has been stolen from Somerton Police Station...a spokesman said they had nothing to go on.
  • On the River Parrett this afternoon a barge carrying red paint has collided with a tug boat carrying purple...police say both crews have been marooned.
  • and finally - the search is continuing for the man who's been terrorising nudists with a cheese slicer at Thorney Lakes campsite...Inspector Mike Curtis says he had a tip off this morning but hopes to be back at work by Sunday.

That's it for now - more news as it comes in!

Editor's Note - this report wouldn't have been possible without the unique work of Mr Ronnie Barker and Mr Ronnie Corbett.
