Bow Street 'sold'
We're getting reports that Langport's Town Council Leader fell asleep at her computer last night and accidentally sold a large chunk of Bow Street on E-bay.
It's believed Janet Seaton had highlighted properties between the Parrett Cafe and the Undertaker's to see how much council tax they pay - when she dropped off and uploaded everything to the internet auction site.
By 6 o'clock this morning - they'd all been sold.
Speaking on behalf of Mrs Seaton, the town clerk is refusing to comment on the incident saying it was "confidential", he also condemned E-bay's decision to go public.
But not everyone is critical.
"Oh we've all done it" said Huish Episcopi Parish Council Leader Shirley Nicholas, "I spilt a bottle of Croft Original on my i-pad last month while looking at maps of Ducks Hill....I ended up putting Sheila Jewell's front garden on Gumtree.....she was delighted!"
There are no further details.

DATE FOR YOUR DIARY
The public is invited to hear the latest and have a say on the Hanging Chapel row on Tuesday 29th August.
We
understand moves have been made at the town hall to stop any further formal discussion on the issue but due to the efforts of a number of people, an
official parish meeting will now take place on this date.
The town council leader will chair it.
The meeting could lead to a 'parish poll' (referendum) which may well be the next step in the fight to overturn a decision back in June to offer the Freemasons the opportunity of buying the building.
The event won't - as previously reported - take place at the sports and social club up the rec. Janet Seaton appears to have blocked that. It will now happen in the Stuckey Room at the Wharf (which has less room for the public than the club)
Proceedings get underway at 7.30pm.
