Langporters vote in their new councillors
For those of you who haven't seen them, here are the results of Thursday's by election. Nine people stood for seven seats, so two candidates have been disappointed.
So here they are folks the Magnificent Seven, including the number of votes they got:
Stephen Glas - 142
Alan Donald - 131
Stephen Jenkinson - 122
Monica Denny - 118
Martin Sandford - 89
Stephen Tilley - 89
Bernie Graham - 87
Congratulations councillors and commiserations to Robert Searle and Derek Yeomans who didn't poll enough votes to get elected.
Celebrations have been underway all day. We believe councillors Donald, Jenkinson & Glas - pictured above out canvassing last week - have consumed so much Port, they've forgotten there's even been an election and can't read the town clock.
Don't worry lads, none of us can.

If you want to see what they all look like and hear what they've got to say, the first formal town council meeting with all 11 councillors will be held on the evening of December 19th.
