Carry On Langport!: Ready for a Christmas sing-song?

Time to tune up folks - carol services are coming up on the December calendar across the area. Go along and have a sing song - religious or not...it's what our tribe does in December innit.

Let's see who can get through the 'Gloria' in Ding Ding Merrily on High without taking a breath this year....last year 3 members of the choir at St Mary's fell in the font when oxygen levels around the Vicar's cassock went critical.

This year the Huish carol service is Wednesday 13th at 6.30pm.

The Black Swan family are gearing up for the event...

Here's the landlord and his wife explaining to their son why it goes dark downstairs in the bar everytime they turn the Christmas tree lights on.

Residents at Cracknells in Huish have also been tuning up...

There are quite a few carol services on Sunday 17th December

Muchelney Church - 4pm

High Ham Church - 4.30pm

Long Sutton Church - 6pm

Aller Church, Pitney Church & the URC at Langport are all at 6.30pm

It's believed Pitney Church choir will be doing a special festive performance of 'Deck the Village Hall with Bowls of Coleslaw'.

There are also Christmas carols at Portcullis House on Tuesday 19th at 11am, it's always after the morning drugs round apparently.

Drayton church carol service is on Friday 22nd at 6.30pm while there are carols too for residents at Ashley House on the Avenue at 10.30am on the 23rd.

- and we understand 'The Ladies of the Night Choir' will be performing up Priests' Lane every Saturday between now and Christmas Day.
