...as Met Office issues 'red alert' for Somerset.

This is the scene on Huish Episcopi Church corner this morning as locals evacuate the area amid never-seen-before (forget what happened 5 years ago) snowfalls.

"I looked at the forecast and saw that quite a bit of snow is on the way today" said one woman, "and everything was ok....but then I saw the Met Office 'red alert' for Somerset and all hell broke loose...even the cat lost the plot"

But not everyone across Langport and Huish is being swept up by the mass hysteria.

It was business as usual for these night-workers at the top of Priest Lane early this morning.

Meanwhile, a spokeswoman at Langport Surgery has issued her own red alert, "if you suffer from anxiety, whatever you do don't watch the BBC News Channel today" she said, "it'll send you over the edge"
