Something up with your water pressure?

Is your flow a funny colour?

Normally this might mean an embarrassing ten minutes with a nurse at North Street surgery, but not this time.

Langport and Huish residents have all received a letter from Wessex Water this week warning of 'water discolouration' and 'changes in water pressure' from tomorrow (Tues) through until the end of Wednesday.

The letter also advises that customers don't use their washing machines incase of accidents, especially toploaders...

It's all due to works being carried out on the local water network.

But not everyone's fussed by the disruption.

"Our water pressure changes everytime somebody flushes the toilet in the ladies at Eli's" said Portland Road resident Josh Knight, who asked not to be named.

"- and we haven't used a washing machine since that crack appeared up the back of the Hanging Chapel in 1957" said one of the Jones boys.

If the colour and strength of your stream alters, don't panic - all back to normal by Thursday apparently.
