...as distasteful advertising appears on local blog.
Carry
On Langport has been forced to apologise after a Drayton man
spotted a "questionable" advert (pictured) on the website while reading
a story last week on his smart phone.
Adverts
are automatically placed in between blog posts by Google, the blogger
himself has no control over their content. Google uses algorithms to
decide the nature of the ad, which is often affected by what websites
the individual reader has been looking at recently.
But Tim Gray, who's asked not to be named, isn't impressed.
"It's a disgrace - I rarely use the internet" he snapped, "and when I do it's to look at pictures of old steam engines and tractors"
I think you've just answered your own complaint Tim. Thanks for getting in touch.
