As we head into Guy Fawkes' night weekend, a handful of local fireworks displays are taking place...and my money's on Pitney.
If last year's is anything to go by it wins hands down: just £4 per adult on the gate and impressive continuous aerial fireworks which lasted at least half an hour.

The gates at Middlefield Road - that's the place we all used to party in the 90s with Andrew, Martin and Tim when Jess and Jill were away - open at 6.30pm, the fire's lit at 7 and the display begins half an hour after that.
There's a bar, BBQ and free parking on the land next to the bonfire field.
