BT investigates kiosk blast at Langport
This is the scene in the centre of Langport today after a woman attempted to contact her sister on a landline in Othery from the town's phonebox.
It's believed the connection, never attempted before and without the help of the operator, caused power surges all over South Somerset last night before the feedback blew the front of the box off.
Nobody was hurt but the town council says three of its hanging baskets are 'critical' after being blown off the walls opposite.
Oh dear.
Had to happen sooner or later eh.
