European Elections...

Langport Polling Station staff will help voters understand the ballot paper

 Here we go again folks

Polling stations open at 7am tomorrow (Thurs) as the South West of England selects its 6 members to sit on the European parliament.

Carry On Langport is advising its readers who intend to vote to take a flask and a packet of biscuits amid fears it'll take 'some time' to get through the ballot paper.

"I've seen shorter tax return forms" said one election organiser.

"I hope they've washed the curtains across the front of the polling booth" said an Eastover man, "thought they looked a bit grubby when I voted there 3 weeks ago"

Langport voters, as usual, are polling at the town hall tomorrow while Huish electors must make their way to the local leisure centre (not the one at Wagg Drove...the other one)

As for the rest of you....no idea.

Either way, we're all getting quite familiar with that little polling booth aren't we...I might put some hanging baskets up in mine tomorrow. See you all there again in about 8 weeks probably.

Happy voting - choose well.
