River Parrett Latest:
The firm producing the River Parrett's new floating pontoons - pictured - says they should be installed and completed in the coming days.
It's believed four of the plastic anchored decks are being fitted between Muchelney Bridge and Bow Bridge.
They'll make life easier for boaters and swimmers who until now have to hold on to a withy tree branch or throw themselves off the foot bridge to get in to the water.
"We are sure our clients, especially third class and steerage, will enjoy the new pontoons" said a spokesman at Harland and Wolff in Liverpool...as he sold another two thousand one-way tickets.
But are they pike proof?
