Yorkshire Television begins filming remake of popular 70s sitcom...
The cameras started rolling at the former premises of Greenslade Taylor Hunt this week as work began on the first episode of the newly revived Rising Damp.
Sources say it'll still be based on a lodging house but with an antiques shop on the ground floor this time.
Yorkshire TV, which owns the rights to the original series, says the tenants in the guesthouse this time round will reflect the diversity of the Langport and Huish Episcopi community: 9 cafe owners, 19 vegans, 4 straight couples, 3 snowflakes and a Freemason.
"We still haven't decided who'll be playing Landlord Mr Rigsby" said a spokeswoman, "but we've got a few ideas...we might make him from Leeds this time"
The new series of Rising Damp is expected to air sometime next year.
