Former Landlord of the Langport Arms in 'mercy dash'
This was the scene at the Langport Arms this week as, amid growing complaints about alleged neglect of the hotel's award-winning wall plate collection, the former landlord was called in to sort it all out.
He also found time to water the Cheese plant at the fireplace, which hasn't sprouted any new leaves since Christmas 1973.
"It's a disgrace" said Malcolm, "any more emergency call-outs and I shall be charging for my services"
