Carry On Langport spots the LANGFEST banner...
There are just days to go for a night of live music, a silent disco and a bar on Cocklemoor this Saturday night, but you wouldn't know it.
Anyone driving through the town would think it's just another average weekend here in the centre of the Universe.
Drive in either direction up or down Bow Street past the turning into the precinct which leads to the river bank, and nothing tells you that there's 'MUSIC HERE THIS WEEKEND'.
Even a banner across the street with an arrow pointing towards Cocklemoor would surely do.
The August Bank Holiday fun run's had one stretched between the Arms and the Chemist for years...surely LangFest should be doing the same...with a big eye-catching banner actually pointing at or near the venue? Nope.
Carry On Langport to the rescue:
So we'll do it for you....there ya go.
Come on LangFest...not everyone can look sideways at your banner on the railings as they drive past the town hall, and not everyone looks at your posters in the shop windows or goes online.
Remember old-fashioned advertising?
Carry On Langport's lost count of the number of people asking "so what's actually happening this weekend then?"
It's a great event, pity you have to jump through hoops to find out about it...especially the best bit....the Saturday night music on the river bank.
