Bellringing at Huish Church - a clarification
Following on from Carry On Langport's rather brutal rant about complaints about bellringing at St Mary's Church in Huish Episcopi.
The item was perhaps unfairly targetted at 'townies' when infact it could well be some locals who have 'had enough'.
Secondly, ringing at Huish is not being stopped.
For centuries the St Mary's bells have been rung not only for local but national occasions.

However - now it is being restricted to Saturday weddings, Sunday mornings and practice nights which are Wednesday evenings.
Let's hope the Queen doesn't die on a Thursday then, or we're buggered.
