The Langport Arms has taken the plates off the wall.
All 135 of them.
The Manageress has told Carry On Langport it's part of a 'deep clean' to get the hotel and its bar ready for the re-opening, whenever that may be.
"But we probably won't put the plates back up" she said from her seat at reception, as she took several phonecalls from Greeks cancelling their weddings.
Carry On Langport asked the management at the Rose and Crown in Huish Episcopi if they were also doing a deep clean during the corona virus closures.
"What do you mean?" said Steve Pittard, "we did that during the flood"
