Long-lost gem from Pinewood Studios.
I have been nominated by several other blog editors to name one of my favourite horror films each day for 7 days [seems to be a trend on Facebook at the moment]
Here is Carry On Langport's first offering.
'Horror at Hurds Hill' was filmed at Pinewood by Hammer House of Horror in 1963.
Based on an old people's home [not the award-winning motel, retaurant and conference centre it is today] it stars Diana Dors as an evil matron from Somerset folklore whose premises are attacked by a giant cabbage [pictured]
Typical Hammer stuff really.
Tomorrow night: 'Murder on Bow Sreet', the 1982 thriller starring a young lad on a Kawasaki and 3 metres of fishing line.
