Or did you just miss a bit?
Mystery surrounds a patch of grass left uncut in Langport Town Garden this week.
The land, pictured, was finally mown on Saturday after overgrowing for weeks.
Eye witnesses say they saw the town gardener, a man in his 30s, look at his watch moments before he would have completed the work and then turn the mower off as the town clock struck 5pm.
'Working to rule' was a trade union regulation that is best demonstrated in the 1960s documentary film Carry On At Your Convenience when workers in a toilet factory often fell out with management over who should plumb the bidets.
They were equally zealous about working overtime
Langport Town Trust has seen our photograph and now dismissed the gardener.
A spokeswoman told Carry On Langport that they hoped to find someone more reliable and that it was looking promising.
"We know at least 7 households in Bow Street with an interest in grass" she added.
