RUSSIAN CYBER ATTACKS HIT LANGPORT

Town's Digital Services Affected:

This is the scene in Langport town centre today as Russia's efforts to cripple the UK's computer-reliant services such as air traffic control, public transport and banking continue to cause chaos.

With the cyber attacks now reaching rural counties, even Langport's electronic information board has been hit [pictured]

Several locals have already been spotted there trying to open it, a St Mary's Park woman was even found licking the screen.

Somerton's town centre electronic information board, just like Langport's, has also been infected by the Russian virus.

There are reports its display today is telling locals they can purchase the Edgar Hall and all its land for just one pound.

"Silly Ruskies" said a former Somerton town councillor, "that happened years ago"

Meanwhile, back in Langport it's feared the cyber attacks may soon hit Tesco's computers and put three quarters of the check-outs out of action just when most of the town is doing its shopping.

"Not bothered" said the manageress "we did that months ago" as she rearranged the supermarket's front door entrance/exit system for the 8th time this year.

If you have a cyber attack story - USB sticks not working up Priest Lane for example - best send us the details via carrier pigeon....just in case our computers are hacked!

There are no further details.
