Everybody paying attention?

Right then - let's do it!

This, dear readers, is your 'Carry On Langport' guide to summer 2022!

Here in Langers and Huish and the surrounding towns and villages it's not always easy to find all your big local summer events written down in one place.

So let's give it a go here then on your local blog. There is, of course, an endless list of live music in pubs and other venues across the area in the coming months so we're not listing them here at the moment. Would take far too long!

These though, below, are the larger public events happening. Many of them 'old favourites' with the odd new thing thrown in.

Please note this is simply an easy-to-read list of events which many locals will tell you may be worth a look. For further details, times & entrance fees etc, best to look at the events' websites and social media pages.

Right, off we go!

The Green Scythe Fair - Thorney Lakes - 12th June

'Cocklemoor' - (calling this event 'CockFest' didn't seem right) - including carboot sale, bar, buskers, food & drink - 26th June

PitFest - Pitney - 2nd July

Party by the Parrett - Kingsbury Rec - 2nd July

Langport Art Day - including bar & auction - Town Garden -  9th July

                                                                  Somerstock - Somerton - 9th July

Somerset Steam & Country Show - Low Ham - from 15th July

Curry Rivel Live - 23rd July

Fanny's Meadow - location to be announced - from 4th August

Halfway House Beer Festival - Pitney -  27th & 28th August

Busy busy busy!

Few more for you...

Eli's reopening - Huish Episcopi - if only we knew!

Wyndham Arms reopening - Kingsbury Episcopi - waiting for a date!

That's all we've got for now chaps and chapesses!

Whoever said it was quiet in the countryside eh?

Wishing you a happy spring and summer 2022 from
