Sunday on Cocklemoor...

 


The crowds rolled on to Cocklemoor yesterday for Langport's first carboot sale of the year.

With 20-plus stallholders there were bargains of all shapes and sizes on offer from 3-foot long model aircraft and car radios to paintings and antiques.

One stall even had local MP David Warburton's career on it.

Many thanks to Fine Tuned Brewery for doing the bar, Little Van Rouge for food and hot drinks and Noodles for the icecreams.

 

Big thumbs up too to the little local rocksters who turned up and busked. They're called 'Absolute Zero'. Remember that name, we reckon they might be on at Glastonbury one day!

Thanks also to the stallholders and the general public.

Money raised yesterday will go to the charity set up to maintain Cocklemoor, the river paths and the Black Bridge area.


Sounds like there's going to be another carboot there sometime around midsummer.
