Police say over 20 inmates at Mendip Lunatic Asylum broke out yesterday and caused havoc at several Somerset pubs across a 17-mile stretch of the county.
It's believed cleaner Jess David, who can't be named for legal reasons, may have left a window open at the unit.
But the individuals [pictured] denied their identities when challenged, all claiming to be Langport Town Councillors "on a jolly"
Despite the trouble caused they raised several hundred pounds on their jaunt for Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, Macmillan Cancer Support and the special care baby unit at Yeovil Hospital.
They're still at large though. If you recognise any of these faces...
