FINGERS CROSSED!
Without wanting to tempt fate, the weather forecast for the autumn carboot sale on the riverside on Cocklemoor this Sunday is looking half decent.
With a varitey of stalls, a bar, burger van and ice cream van it all starts at midday ending at 3pm.
Slight tweak to the bar this time. Unlike the summer event with just real ale on sale, this time we're hoping for lager, cider and white wine too.
If you have any junk you want to get rid of, whether you stick it on a trestle table or just throw it all out on a tarpaulin on the grass - organisers ask you to be set up by 11:30 for a midday start.
Just join the aisles and pay a fiver on the day which goes to the local charity set up to fund Cocklemoor's upkeep.
Unlike some other carboot sales, vehicles can only drive on site to unload but need to be back on the nearby car park for the duration of the sale. Just no room on the grass for cars unfortunately, but it works!
See you there folks!
